Short Story of The Wolf In Sheep’S Clothing with Morals – Download PDF Copy

Once upon a time, there lived a happy flock of sheep in a sunny valley. They grazed on the green grass and played under the blue sky, guarded by a friendly shepherd and his faithful dog.

In the same valley lived a wolf named Lano, who was always hungry and looking for food. He watched the sheep from a distance, but every time he tried to sneak up close, the sheepdog spotted him and chased him away with furious barking.

One chilly evening, Lano found an old sheepskin lying by the side of the road. An idea sparked in his clever wolf brain. “If I wear this sheepskin,” he thought, “I can fool the herd and get a delicious dinner!”

Lano spread the sheepskin over himself and walked to the pasture. He tiptoed and tried to look like a sheep. At first, the real sheep were suspicious, but Lano baa-ed and passed as they did. They soon accepted him.

When night came, Lano planned to sneak off with one of the sheep. But just as he was about to act, the shepherd came to lead his flock back into the fold. Lano tried to blend in with the real sheep.

The dog sniffed around as usual. When he reached Lano, he stopped. Lano held his breath and tried to baa, but the dog was not fooled. He barked loudly, alerting the shepherd. Quickly, the shepherd grabbed his staff and approached Lano.

With nowhere to run, Lano tried to escape but tripped over the sheepskin. The shepherd took off the disguise and saw the wolf. “Oh, Lano,” he said, shaking his head, “you can try to dress like a sheep, but you can’t hide your true nature from the watchers.”

Lano sneaked away, his plan failed. The sheep rejoiced in their shepherd and his wise dog.

Moral of the story: Appearances can be deceiving, so always be cautious of who you trust.
