Short Story of The Fox And The Leopard with Morals – Download PDF Copy

Once upon a time, a wise fox and a majestic leopard lived in a bright and lively forest. They were good friends, but both took great pride in their unique qualities.

One sunny day, while strolling through the forest, the leopard began to show off his beautiful spotted fur. He turned to the fox and said, “Look at my coat, dear Fox! Isn’t it the most beautiful in the whole forest?”

The fox smiled slyly and replied, “Indeed, your fur is magnificent with all those spots. But I believe that being wise and clever is much better than just looking good!”

The leopard, feeling challenged, suggested, “Let’s see who can catch the most food by the end of the day!” He was certain his great looks would intimidate more prey.

The fox agreed, and they went their separate ways. The leopard relied on his striking appearance, hoping to awe his prey into submission. But many animals saw his shiny coat from afar and quickly fled.

Meanwhile, the fox used his wits. He set clever traps and devised crafty plans to catch his food. By sunset, the fox had gathered a large pile of food, while the leopard managed to catch only a small rabbit.

When they met to compare their results, the leopard was surprised to see the fox’s impressive pile of food. He realized that it was the fox’s intelligence, not his own beautiful coat, that had won the day.

Seeing his friend’s disappointment, the fox kindly shared his food with the leopard. “Dear friend, today was a fun challenge, wasn’t it? Next time, we can hunt together—combining my tricks with your speed,” the fox suggested.

They enjoyed a wonderful feast together, and from that day on, they hunted as a team, using both the fox’s cleverness and the leopard’s quick moves.

The moral of the story is: “It’s not just how you look, but how you think and work with others that leads to success.”
