Once there lived three bulls in a sunny field surrounded by tall green trees. They were best friends and did everything together, from grazing in the meadow to drinking from the clear stream. Their friendship made them happy and protected them from harm.
Nearby, in the shady part of the forest, a cunning lion had been watching the three bulls for days. He was always hungry and thought that one of these bulls would make a delicious meal. But every time he tried to attack, he failed because the bulls always stayed together, and their combined strength was too much for the lion.
Being clever, the lion came up with a plan. “If I can make these bulls quarrel and separate from each other, I can easily catch one,” he thought. So he crept up to the bulls while they rested and whispered lies to each of them, making each bull believe the others were speaking badly about him.
Unfortunately, the lion’s plan worked. The bulls began to doubt each other, and their strong bond started to weaken. They argued and decided it would be best to graze in different parts of the field.
The lion waited for his chance, and when one bull was alone, he attacked and made a big feast. The other two bulls heard their friend’s cries too late and were powerless to help.
From that day on, the two remaining bulls stayed close to each other, regretting that their once strong friendship had been broken by false words. They learned a hard lesson: “United we stand, divided we fall.”
Moral of the story: This story teaches us that unity and trust among friends make us stronger, while listening to gossip can lead to disaster.
