Short Story of The Lion And The Mouse with Morals – Download PDF Copy

Once upon a time, in a great green forest, there lived a mighty lion named Leo. Leo was the king of all the forest animals. He was big, strong, and very proud, believing himself to be the most important creature in the entire forest.

One day, while Leo was napping under a shady tree, he accidentally woke up a little mouse named Milo. Leo was furious and roared loudly at Milo. “How dare you disturb my rest, little creature!” he bellowed.

Milo, startled and trembling, replied, “I’m sorry, Mr. Leo. I didn’t mean to wake you.”

Leo laughed at Milo’s fear. “You’re lucky I’m in a good mood today. I’ll let you go, but remember, never bother me again!”

Milo scampered away as fast as his little legs could carry him. But later that same day, while Leo was hunting for food, he fell into a hunter’s trap. He struggled and roared for help, but no one heard him.

Just then, Milo happened to pass by and saw Leo trapped and in distress. Without hesitation, Milo rushed to Leo’s side and began gnawing at the ropes of the trap with his sharp teeth. It took some time, but Milo eventually freed Leo from the trap.

Leo was astonished and deeply grateful. “Thank you, Milo! You saved my life!” he exclaimed.

From that day on, Leo and Milo became the best of friends. Leo learned that even the smallest creatures can be helpful and brave, and Milo learned that kindness and courage are always rewarded.

Moral of the story: No good deed, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
