Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a curious fox named Foxy who loved to explore new places every day. One sunny afternoon, Foxy wandered into the shopkeeper’s backyard, which was filled with all sorts of interesting things.
As Foxy sniffed around, she noticed something unusual. It was a strange object lying next to a basket. Foxy tiptoed closer and saw that it was a beautiful mask in the shape of a human face, with bright eyes and a painted smile.
Intrigued, Foxy thought, “This must be a magical creature!” She lifted the mask with her paws and tried speaking to it. “Hey, how are you?” she asked politely. But the mask didn’t respond. Foxy tilted her head and waited for an answer, but there was only silence.
Foxy was confused. She looked behind the mask and realized there was nothing there—just a mask, with no body or brain. “Oh, I see! It looks impressive, but it can’t do anything,” Foxy muttered to herself. She felt a little disappointed, but she also learned something important.
Foxy put the mask back beside the basket and said, “You can fool the eyes with a pretty face, but you can’t fool the brain so easily!”
Moral of the story: Appearances can be deceiving, so always look beyond them to find the true nature of things.
